Last weekend, an Air Arabia Maroc Airbus A320 from Tetouan to Brussels suffered a significant in-flight failure, forcing a diversion to Madrid.
Information has been released pertinent to the incident at hand, which we will detail in this article.

Air Arabia Maroc Flight 3O137 – Tetouan to Brussels…
Air Arabia Maroc flight 3O137 is a routine scheduled flight between Tetouan and Brussels.
Furthermore, the aircraft involved in the incident was CN-NMP.
As per data from Planespotters.net, CN-NMP is a 10.7 year old Airbus A320ceo that started out with the UAE subsidiary of the airline back in December 2013.
In November 2022, the aircraft was transferred over to the Air Arabia Maroc AOC.
Of the Airbus A320ceo variant, the Moroccan carrier has 11 of them in their fleet.
Moreover, all 11 are in active service, with an average fleet age of 10.7 years.
Air Arabia Maroc flight 3O137 departed Tetouan at 0832 local time on August 23 and initially tracked north towards Brussels.
Over Spanish airspace, the crew experienced a problem in the cockpit.
This prompted a diversion to Madrid.
Air Arabia Maroc flight 3O137 from Tetouan to Brussels landed safely into Madrid without further incident.
Moreover, as per The Aviation Herald, it is understood the cause of the diversion was a loss of autopilot & autothrust due to the aircraft’s fly-by-wire system switching to alternate law.
Issue Was Fixed In Hours…
The issue onboard Air Arabia Maroc flight 3O137 Tetouan-Brussels was fixed in a matter of hours in Madrid.
Around three and a half hours after the landing into the Spanish airport, the aircraft departed again and completed the flight to the Belgian airport.
Since the incident, no further issues have been reported with the aircraft.
