Air India has launched its Airbus A350-900 aircraft on daily non-stop flights between Delhi and New York’s JFK Airport.
Starting January 2, 2025, the airline will also operate five weekly A350 flights from Newark Liberty International Airport.

Air India has elevated its transatlantic service with the introduction of its A350-900 aircraft on daily non-stop flights between Delhi and New York’s JFK Airport.
The airline is expanding its premium offerings further by launching five weekly A350 flights from Newark Liberty International Airport starting January 2, 2025, strengthening its presence in the crucial North American market.
These new flights showcase Air India’s complete interior transformation, featuring exclusive Business Class suites and a dedicated Premium Economy section.
Passengers will experience a reimagined journey with state-of-the-art entertainment systems, and enhanced dining options. The use of contemporary serviceware, marks a significant upgrade in the airline’s service standards.
This flagship aircraft deployment was recently commenced on the Delhi-London Heathrow route. It represents a key milestone in Air India’s post-privatization transformation.
The airline’s ambitious fleet expansion includes orders for more than 500 new aircraft. With at least 40 widebody A350s set to join the fleet, it sends a strong signal of tata Group’s intentions for the airline as a global aviation leader.
Premium Economy in Focus
Air India introduces its Premium Economy experience to the New York-Delhi route for the first time. This offers 24 spacious seats arranged in a comfortable 2-4-2 configuration. This dedicated cabin provides an upscale middle-ground option for travelers seeking enhanced comfort without the full Business Class price tag.
Business Class Experience
The A350’s Business Class sets new standards with 28 private suites configured in a 1-2-1 layout. Each suite transforms into a full-flat bed and features direct aisle access, sliding privacy doors, and personal wardrobes. This makes Air India the only carrier offering private Business Class suites on direct U.S.-India routes, positioning it at the forefront of premium air travel.
Digital Connectivity Enhancement
In the coming weeks, Air India plans to launch comprehensive inflight Wi-Fi connectivity on its A350 international flights, allowing passengers to stay connected throughout their journey. This service will complement the existing entertainment options, meeting the demands of modern travelers.
Amenity List
The A350 service introduces a host of premium amenities, including carefully curated meal selections, elegant tableware, and luxury bedding.
Business and Premium Economy travelers receive exclusive amenity kits designed by prestigious brands Ferragamo and TUMI, respectively, adding an extra touch of sophistication to the journey.
The advanced Panasonic eX3 entertainment system features high-definition screens across all cabins. It offers more than 3,000 hours of diverse content in 21 languages, including 13 international and 8 Indian regional options. The forthcoming Wi-Fi service will further enhance the passenger experience, enabling seamless connectivity at altitude.
