Kirsten Amrine, Vice President of Revenue Management and Network Planning at Alaska Airlines, commented on the expansion. “We’re thrilled to offer our guests more options for business trips and autumn getaways. These new routes strengthen our California presence and connect Pacific Northwest communities to our broader network.”
Los Angeles Hub Enhancement
The addition of two new flights from Los Angeles solidifies Alaska Airlines’ position as the carrier offering the most daily West Coast flights from LAX.
The popular Los Angeles-Reno route returns with twice-daily service, while Pasco gains a daily nonstop flight to LAX. Both routes utilize Embraer 175 jets, known for their comfortable configuration featuring only window and aisle seats.
Las Vegas Connections
With the new routes, Las Vegas becomes Alaska’s 39th nonstop destination from San Diego, further cementing the airline’s status as the carrier with the most nonstop routes from the city.
For Santa Rosa travelers, Las Vegas offers a convenient stopover en route to Mexico, while bringing the allure of wine country closer to Las Vegas residents.
Wine enthusiasts will appreciate Alaska’s Wine Flies Free program, which allows Mileage Plan members to check a case of wine at no additional cost. Both Las Vegas routes operate daily on Embraer 175 aircraft.
Portland to Atlanta Service Resumes
Alaska Airlines has reintroduced its cross-country route between Portland and Atlanta, operating daily on a Boeing 737-900. Passengers can now experience Portland airport’s newly renovated terminal, including Alaska’s redesigned lobby area. This innovative space utilizes advanced technology to expedite the security process, aiming to move travelers through in 5 minutes or less.
