Condor Airlines, Germany’s leading leisure carrier, has made a return to Thailand, re-establishing its presence in the Southeast Asian nation after a temporary hiatus.
The airline’s inaugural flight to Phuket departed Frankfurt on Saturday, September 21, 2024.The flight, operated by an Airbus A330neo, marking a new waypoint for both Condor and the Thai tourism industry.
Restoration of Service to Phuket
Passengers were welcomed with open arms upon their arrival in Phuket. Representatives from Condor, the airport, and the tourism association celebrated the resumption of service. The event was a testament to the strong ties between Germany and Thailand. It also highlights the enduring appeal of the Southeast Asian country as a vacation destination.
Condor has now established a robust schedule of flights to Thailand, offering four weekly services to Phuket and five weekly flights to Bangkok.
Airbus A330neo Operations
All flights are operated with the A330neo, a modern and fuel-efficient aircraft that ensures a comfortable and enjoyable travel experience. Passengers can look forward to spacious cabins, top-notch in-flight entertainment, and high-speed Wi-Fi.
The Airbus A330neo is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, which are renowned for their efficiency and sustainability.
These engines are compatible with sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), allowing Condor to reduce its carbon footprint and contribute to a more environmentally friendly future.
Expansion of Long-Haul Network
Condor’s return to Thailand is part of a broader expansion of its long-haul network. The airline has also resumed flights to other popular winter destinations, including Cape Town, the Maldives, and the Seychelles.
