A Delta Air Lines Boeing 737-800 operating the service to Los Angeles, CA made a precautionary return to Las Vegas due to a technical issue on 3 September 2024.
Delta Air Lines flight DL2120 had conducted a departure from RWY26R Harry Reid international airport (LAS), bound for Los Angeles.

During the initial climb after takeoff, flight crew reported a problem with the aircraft’s wing flaps and requested a return to Las Vegas. The flight crew terminated the climb and entered a holding procedure to run troubleshooting checks.
Following a brief period of holding the aircraft was then positioned for a return approach to RWY26R. The flight landed without further incident approximately 30 minutes after its initial departure.
A replacement aircraft was mustered to carry out the scheduled service to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

The operating crew subsequently terminated the climb at 7000 feet and squawked transponder code 7700. The aircraft then conducted one holding pattern at that altitude before establishing on an approach to the duty runway. The flight then landed at 1845 local time.
