Delta Air Lines swept Forbes Travel Guide’s (FTG) first Verified Air Travel Awards, securing five top spots for excellence in airline and airport experiences.
The carrier claimed the Best U.S. Airline title, with FTG highlighting Delta’s consistent service quality and standout loyalty benefits.
“These awards reflect our ongoing commitment to enhancing every aspect of travel,” said Allison Ausband, Delta’s EVP and Chief Customer Experience Officer. “They showcase both our strategic investments and our employees’ dedication to delivering exceptional service.”
FTG’s rigorous selection process involved surveying 5,000 seasoned hospitality professionals, with results validated through their renowned 66-year-old Star Ratings system.

Best U.S. Airline
Among Delta’s five award-winning categories, their Best U.S. Airline recognition stood out for the carrier’s reliability and customer first approach.
Best Domestic Business Class
The Best Domestic Business Class award celebrated Delta One’s premium offerings, including exclusive lounge access, designer Missoni amenity kits, and fully flat bed seats.
The experience extends to premium dining options with seasonal menu updates and an enhanced beverage selection designed to elevate the journey from start to finish.
Best U.S. Airlines Lounge
The JFK Delta One lounge earned Best U.S. Airline Lounge, impressing with its nearly 40,000 square feet of luxurious space. The facility features a year-round outdoor terrace, nine private relaxation areas, and eight luxury shower suites, complemented by a full-service restaurant. Delta has since expanded this concept, opening a second Delta One Lounge at LAX in October.
Best Loyalty Program
The carrier’s SkyMiles program secured the Best Loyalty Program award by offering members significant perks such as free Wi-Fi on most domestic flights and non-expiring miles.
Members can earn through more than 20 partner opportunities. The program’s 2024 restructuring has introduced enhanced status earning options while simplifying the overall experience.
Best Airline App
The Fly Delta app earned recognition as Best Airline App for its user-friendly interface and comprehensive features. Travelers can manage seat upgrades, receive real-time flight updates, and track their baggage seamlessly.
The app includes airport navigation tools, a lounge locator, and recent updates have added a new Help Center, always-visible boarding details, and Virtual Assistant support.
Delta’s innovations were also noted. The airline has partnered with TSA to implement facial recognition technology through Delta Digital ID, streamlining the security process at six major hubs.
The technology debuts in the TSA PreCheck® Touchless ID lane, allowing customers to move through security without presenting physical identification.
The transformation of LaGuardia Airport showcases Delta’s commitment to infrastructure improvement. Their $4 billion investment in Terminal C contributes to the airport’s overall $8 billion modernization. It created a state-of-the-art facility spanning 1.3 million square feet with 37 gates across four concourses.
