Deutsche Aircraft Marks 200,000 Operational Hours for C-146A Wolfhound

Deutsche Aircraft has celebrated a milestone 200,000 flight hours for the fleet of U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command C-146A Wolfhound aircraft.

Deutsche Aircraft and its parent company, SNC, have celebrated a significant achievement for the C-146A Wolfhound aircraft. This is a fleet of D328® turboprop aircraft operated by the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC).

The Wolfhound fleet has officially surpassed 200,000 operational flying hours, demonstrating its exceptional reliability and versatility in meeting the demanding requirements of global mobility and defense missions.

C-146A Multi-Role Operations


Since entering service in 2011, the C-146A Wolfhound has become an indispensable asset to the AFSOC. It provides critical airlift capabilities for a wide range of operations, including troop transport, cargo delivery, medical evacuation, and special mission support.

The aircraft’s impressive performance and adaptability have now made it a preferred choice for military and civilian customers around the world. Deutsche Aircraft, a leading aerospace company and a subsidiary of SNC, plays a crucial role in supporting the C-146A Wolfhound fleet.

200,000 Hour Operational Milestone


The 200,000-hour milestone is a testament to the C-146A Wolfhound’s durability, reliability, and versatility. The aircraft has proven its ability to operate in challenging environments and perform a variety of missions with exceptional efficiency.

To commemorate this significant achievement, USAF leadership joined SNC and the aircraft’s maintenance team in a ceremony held in Florida. Deutsche Aircraft’s facility near Munich, Germany, also celebrated the milestone.

Deutsche Aircraft and SNC will continuing their support for the C-146A Wolfhound fleet. They also continue to explore new opportunities to expand their presence in the global aerospace market. The company is also developing the next-generation D328eco™. This is a more efficient and sustainable version of the D328® platform, which is expected to enter service in the coming years.
