Emirates is further expanding its premium travel offerings by introducing newly upgraded Boeing 777 aircraft to Kuwait and Dammam services.

These aircraft are outfitted with the carrier’s latest Business Class and Premium Economy cabins. This marks Kuwait and Dammam as the second and third Gulf destinations to receive the enhanced widebody aircraft.

Deployment of Upgraded 777s to Network

The upgraded service schedules are:

  • Kuwait: Starting October 27 on flights EK855 and EK856
  • Dammam: Beginning November 22 on daily flights EK823/824 and EK821/822

Since the renovation program began in July, six Boeing 777s have completed their makeover. These aircraft now serve routes including Geneva, Zurich, Brussels, Haneda, and Riyadh. Dammam joins Riyadh as the second Saudi Arabian city to welcome these upgraded aircraft.

The renovated aircraft feature a four-class layout, with Premium Economy offering 24 seats arranged in 2-4-2 configuration. These cream leather seats measure 19.5 inches wide with a 38-inch pitch and 8-inch recline, complemented by adjustable headrests with six positions.

Business Class

In Business Class, passengers will find 38 seats inspired by Emirates’ signature A380 design. The 1-2-1 configuration ensures direct aisle access. Here, the cream leather seats with champagne accents and light wood details create a sophisticated atmosphere.

Each seat converts into a 78.6-inch flatbed and features a 23-inch HD screen – among the largest in commercial aviation. A dedicated refreshment bar serves light snacks and drinks.

Economy Class

The Economy cabin accommodates 256 passengers with ergonomic seating finished in cool greys and blues.

Emirates is also extending these upgraded aircraft across six key U.S. routes: Chicago, Boston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Seattle, Athens/Newark, and Miami/Bogota.

This strategic expansion allows travelers from Kuwait and Dammam to enjoy seamless premium service when connecting through Dubai to American destinations. This creates an end-to-end luxury travel experience.

The upgraded aircraft come at a time when global air travel market demand is seeing a rise in appetite for premium and ‘top end’ cabin services and product.
