Emirates Lays Out its ‘Next Era’ Strategic Vision

Dubai growth plans and investment in people, product and customer experience were among the topics discussed in Emirates recent Passenger Sales Conference 2024.

Emirates Airlines recently hosted its largest-ever commercial gathering, the Passenger Sales Conference 2024, in Dubai. Over 850 commercial team members from around the globe convened under the theme “Next Era – Equip, Embrace, Excel.”

The conference served as a platform for Emirates’ executive leadership to unveil their ambitious plans for the future.

‘Next Era – Equip, Embrace, Excel’


As the airline prepares to expand its fleet, network, and products, the conference aimed to inspire and equip teams to seize the opportunities ahead. A diverse lineup of speakers, from industry experts to motivational speakers, addressed the conference participants.

Topics ranged from the airline’s strategic priorities to personal development and leadership. The conference also celebrated individual and team achievements, with HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum presenting the coveted Chairman Sales Award.

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the airline’s ambitious growth plans. He stated, “By recalibrating our strategies, seizing emerging opportunities, and investing in our people and products, we are poised to maintain our competitive edge and global leadership.”

“Our growth trajectory will accelerate in the coming years in line with Dubai’s D33 ambitions, and our teams are focused and committed to continue generating extraordinary value for the business.”

Dubai Growth and Customer Experience


The conference highlighted Emirates’ commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences. The airline confirmed its plans to refurbish over 200 aircraft. This includes A380s and Boeing 777s, to offer state-of-the-art amenities and enhance passenger comfort.

Additionally, Emirates expanded its network with the addition of Bogota and Madagascar, further solidifying its position as a global carrier.

Beyond the airline’s operations, the conference also explored Dubai’s ambitious plans for growth. The city’s leadership shared their vision for transforming Dubai into a world-class destination. The focus centers on attracting investment and talent from around the globe.

The Emirates Brand Focus


Boutros Boutros, Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand, took the stage with a focus on the iconic Emirates brand. He spoke of how it will play a key role in reaching and inspiring new audiences in line with the airline’s growth aspirations.

Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects also provided an update around Al Maktoum International Airport’s master plans and construction progress.

As Emirates embarks on this new era, the Passenger Sales Conference provided a valuable opportunity for its commercial team. It provided a focal point; to align their efforts and contribute to the airline’s continued success. With a focus on innovation, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth, Emirates is positioning to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future.
