FAA To Investigate Stuck Brake on Frontier Airlines Airbus A320neo in Denver

It is understood that the FAA will investigate an incident taking place on a Frontier Airlines Airbus A320neo a few days ago in Denver.

Information has been released pertinent to the incident at hand, which we will detail in this article.

Frontier Airlines Flight F9688 – Denver to Washington Reagan…

It is understood that the FAA will investigate an incident taking place on a Frontier Airlines Airbus A320neo a few days ago.

Frontier Airlines flight F9688 is a routine scheduled flight between Denver and Washington Reagan Airport.

Also, it is understood that the aircraft involved in the incident was N383FR.

As per data from Planespotters.net, N383FR is a 3.1 year old Airbus A320neo that was delivered to the airline in June 2021.

Of the A320neo variant, Frontier Airlines has 82 of them in their fleet.

Furthermore, of that 82, all of them are in active service, with an average fleet age of 5.0 years.

As well as the A320neo, F9 has the following aircraft in their fleet:

  • 8 Airbus A320ceos.
  • 21 Airbus A321ceos.
  • 39 Airbus A321neos.

Frontier Airlines flight F9688, operated by the Airbus A320neo, departed Denver at 1954 local time and tracked east towards Washington Reagan.

Near the border to Wisconsin, the aircraft made a u-turn back to the airport with a problem onboard.

Furthermore, as reported by The Aviation Herald, it is understood that the aircraft suffered a stuck brake.

Following the discovery, the aircraft landed safely without further incident back into Denver following the incident.

The FAA issued a statement on the incident involving Frontier Airlines flight F9688 Denver-Washington:

“Frontier Airlines Flight 688 returned safely to Denver International Airport around 4:30 p.m. local time on Sunday, July 28, after the crew reported a stuck brake.”

“The Airbus A320neo was originally scheduled to fly to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Arlington, Virginia.”

“The FAA will investigate. “

Moreover, data from RadarBox highlights that the aircraft didn’t remain out of service for very long.

It re-entered service later on in the evening and proceeded to fly to Salt Lake City, where it night-stopped.

Furthermore, on July 29 and 30, the aircraft operated a series of commercial flights.

This would indicate that the issue at hand had been fixed, but it is still something the FAA will investigate.
