Saudi Arabian low-cost airline Flyadeal has added another Airbus A320neo to its fleet, marking further growth for the young carrier.

Named “Al Qa’ad” (Leader) after an Arabic constellation star, the aircraft is the second Airbus delivery within two months. This now brings Flyadeal’s fleet size to 34 A320 family aircraft.

Steven Greenway, Flyadeal’s CEO, expressed pride and excitement about the new addition, emphasizing the hard work and dedication of both the airline and Airbus teams in meeting delivery and planning schedules.

This latest acquisition is also noteworthy as Flyadeal’s second fully owned aircraft, following a delivery in June. Flyadeal, a Saudi Arabian low-cost airline, has rapidly emerged as a prominent player in the Middle Eastern aviation market.

Launched in 2017 as a subsidiary of Saudia Airlines, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia, Flyadeal has consistently demonstrated its commitment to providing affordable and reliable air travel.

A Modern Fleet and Expanding Network

The airline’s fleet primarily consists of Airbus A320 family aircraft, renowned for their fuel efficiency and passenger comfort. With a focus on modernizing its fleet, Flyadeal has consistently invested in new aircraft, expanding its network of domestic and international destinations.

Flyadeal’s network extends across Saudi Arabia, reaching key cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.

Additionally, the airline has ventured into international markets, connecting Saudi Arabia to popular destinations in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. This expansion has not only stimulated tourism but also facilitated business travel and cultural exchange.

As Flyadeal continues its expansion plans, passengers can expect increased frequency on popular routes and the introduction of new international destinations, catering to both inbound and outbound travel to and from Saudi Arabia.

Current Operations

Currently operating from Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, Flyadeal serves nearly 30 year-round and seasonal destinations across Saudi Arabia and selected Middle Eastern, European, and North African cities.

The A320neo, with its spacious cabin and modern amenities, is the cornerstone of Flyadeal’s fleet. With an average age of just over two years, the airline’s fleet includes 23 A320neos and 11 A320ceos.

Flyadeal’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its choice of aircraft. The A320 family is renowned for its fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness. To support its future growth, Flyadeal recently placed a large order for 51 additional Airbus A320 family aircraft, including 12 A320neos and 39 A321neos.

The airline’s recent order for additional Airbus A320 family aircraft signals its ambitious plans to further strengthen its position in the aviation market. A further three A320neos are scheduled for delivery this year with an additional eight A320neos planned for 2025.
