Last weekend, a Jazeera Airways flight from Jouf suffered damage after landing into Cairo Airport.

Information has been released pertinent to the incident at hand, which we will get into in this article.

Jazeera Airways NE193 Jouf to Cairo…


Last weekend, a Jazeera Airways flight from Jouf suffered damage after landing into Cairo Airport.

Jazeera Airways operated flight NE193 on behalf of Nesma Airlines, which is a flight between Jouf and Cairo, was the flight that suffered damage on landing.

Furthermore, the aircraft involved in the incident was 9K-CAT.

As per data from Planespotters.net, 9K-CAT is a 13.3 year old Airbus A320ceo that started out life with Air France in May 2011.

Between then and October 2023, the aircraft did stints with the French carrier and it’s subsidiary Transavia before being handed over to the Kuwaiti carrier.

Moreover, of the A320ceo variant, Jazeera Airways has 13 of them in their fleet.

Also, of that 13, all but two are in active service, with an average fleet age of 13.2 years.

As well as the A320ceo, the airline also has 11 A320neos in their fleet too.

Jazeera Airways flight NE193 departed Jouf at 1335 local time on August 25 and tracked west to Cairo.

Everything was normal in the flight until the landing.

As per The Aviation Herald, the aircraft suffered a number of damaged tyres during the touchdown into the Egyptian airport.

Furthermore, it is understood also that the debris from the tyres damaged the flaps on the aircraft.

Aircraft Has Been Grounded Since August 25 Due to Damage…

Data from RadarBox highlights that 9K-CAT, the Jazeera Airways Airbus A320 that suffered damage in Cairo has been on the ground since August 25.

At this stage, it is unclear what the extent of the damage is to the aircraft itself.

Moreover, it is also unclear how long it will take to repair the aircraft before it’s allowed back into commercial service.

As soon as we have more information on this, we will update you accordingly.
