Despite the best efforts of the crew, passengers, and emergency services, the man sadly passed away, the Manchester Evening News reported.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the exact cause of death. A passenger on the flight witnessed the man experiencing convulsions before CPR was administered.

It is understood that two Ryanair crew members and three passengers administered aid for approximately 30 minutes, before the flight landed at London Stansted Airport. Paramedics then took over following the flight’s landing at around 8.00pm local time.

Emergency Services Statement

A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service provided a brief statement.

“Sadly, despite the best efforts of all involved, the man had died at the scene.”

The airline returned passengers to the aircraft around 90 minutes later to complete the scheduled service to Manchester. A replacement crew was mustered to operate the onwards flight from London Stansted.

The incident has cast a shadow over what should have been a routine flight. Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends during this difficult time.
