Mangaluru International Airport has achieved unprecedented success, marking a significant milestone in its operational history.

In October 2024, the airport reported its highest-ever passenger traffic and air movements for the fiscal year 2024-25, demonstrating remarkable growth in both domestic and international sectors.

October 2024 Performance


The airport successfully managed an impressive total of 202,892 passengers throughout October. In breakdown, domestic travelers accounted for 138,902 passengers and international passengers numbered 63,990.

This translates to approximately 6,500 passengers passing through the airport’s terminals daily. These figures represent a notable increase from September 2024’s total of 189,247 passengers. They also surpass the previous fiscal year high of 199,818 recorded in August 2024.

In terms of air traffic movements (ATMs), the airport handled 1,538 flights, showcasing its robust operational capabilities. The breakdown includes:

  • 1,091 domestic flights
  • 403 international flights
  • 44 general aviation movements

This marks a significant improvement from September’s 1,433 air traffic movements, highlighting the airport’s expanding capacity and operational efficiency.
