In the last few moments, Ryanair flight FR654 between Tenerife and Prestwick has declared an emergency.
Furthermore, EI-EMB is the aircraft involved in the incident.

UPDATE #1 @ 2144 UK time – The aircraft is descending and looks to be diverting to a Portuguese airport.
UPDATE #2 @ 2148 UK time – FR654 appears to be heading in the direction of Lisbon for it’s diversion field.
INFORMATION – UPDATE #3 @ 2149 UK time – Also, EI-EMB is the aircraft involved in the incident.
Furthermore, as per Planespotters, EI-EMB is a 14.4 year old Boeing 737-800 that was delivered to the airline in April 2010.
Furthermore, under the Irish AOC, the carrier has 205 of the -800 variant, with all in active service.
UPDATE #4 @ 2151 UK time – Lisbon the confirmed diversion field for Ryanair flight FR654 Tenerife-Prestwick which declared an emergency a few moments ago.
UPDATE #5 @ 2153 UK time – The Emergency aircraft is already on the downwind into Lisbon, passing through 8,000 feet.

EMERGENCY UPDATE #6 @ 21** UK time – FR654 is now on final approach for it’s emergency landing into Lisbon.
Moreover, the cause of the emergency is still not known at this time.
TOUCHDOWN – UPDATE #7 @ 2202 UK time – TOUCHDOWN!
Ryanair flight FR654, originally bound for Prestwick from Tenerife, has appeared to have touched down safely into Lisbon following it’s emergency declaration.
Furthermore, the cause of the 7700 is still not known at this time.
As soon as we get information pertinent to this, then we will update you accordingly.
For now, this remains a developing story pending additional updates.
UPDATE #8 @ 2204 UK time – Ryanair flight status indicates that FR654 will depart from Lisbon at 2245. This indicates a passenger-related incident. Subject to change of course.
UPDATE #9 @ 2215 UK time – As expected, @FlightEmergency on X reports that the cause of the emergency was a medical.
