A Sunclass Airlines Airbus A321-200 arriving from Stockholm, Sweden suffered a hard landing at Skiathos, Greece on 15 September.
Sunclass Airlines flight DK1614, an Airbus A321-200, was conducting an approach to runway 19, Skiathos International Airport (JSI). Following a normal approach, the aircraft suffered a hard touchdown on landing.

Following the landing incident, aircraft was brought to a stop under directional control, and was able to exit the active runway before taxiing to the apron hardstanding.
According to the online source Aviation Herald, the aircraft was unable to continue with scheduled flight operations following the hard landing. The aircraft was still grounded at Skiathos as of 29 September.
Aviation Herald reported information from two independent sources on the level of damage sustained. Reports suggested that a replacement of the landing gear assembly was necessary after the landing incident. The aircraft is to be repositioned to Copenhagen in order to carry out necessary maintenance.

Flight data shows that the flight DK1614 made an on-time departure out of Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) at 0713 local time on 15 September.
The flight had proceeded normally, climbing to flight level FL310 (31,000 feet) for the southerly service to Skiathos (JSI). Let down and approach procedures were similarly conducted normally, with the aircraft landing heavily on runway 19.
The aircraft conducting the DK1614 rotation from Stockholm was an Airbus A321-200, registered OY-TCG. This is a 9.8-year-old narrowbody aircraft belonging to the carrier Sunclass Airlines. It has been operational service with the airline since October 2019.
Prior to its current service, it was operated by Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia from its initial delivery from the factory in December 2014.
