The row erupted when one of the pair took offence to the other wearing a red Donald Trump MAGA cap, according to a report by the Sun. When the woman refused the request to remove her MAGA baseball cap, the situation escalated into a physical altercation.

Concerns After British Airways Boarding

Once on board the aircraft, the dispute continued as both women took their seats in the premium economy cabin. The carrier then summoned Metropolitan Police to defuse the on-board situation. British Airways flight crew deemed the situation to volatile to risk a further escalation in flight. The attending polices officers then escorted the two women in question off the waiting aircraft.

The pair reportedly continued to verbally abuse each other during their removal from the aircraft. The disruption delayed the flight at the gate for about two hours.

The flight which had a scheduled departure time of 12.10pm eventually made its departure from London Heathrow at 2.11pm.

IAuthorities apparently did not arrest either woman in connection with the incident. However, each of the women allegedly accuse the other of affray when questioned. No formal charges were laid, but the Metropolitan Police are still investigating.
