Last weekend, a United Airlines flight, bound for Orlando, blew a tire after departure from Denver, but continued on to it’s destination despite this.
Information has been released pertinent to the incident at hand, which we will get into in this article.

United Airlines Flight UA1451 – Denver to Orlando…
United Airlines flight UA1451, which suffered the blown tire, is a routine scheduled flight between Denver and Orlando.
Furthermore, the aircraft involved in the incident was N27239.
As per data from Planespotters.net, N27239 is a 25.0 year old Boeing 737-800 that started out life with Continental Airlines in October 1999.
Following the merger with United Airlines, the aircraft was transferred over to the UA registry in October 2010.
Of the 737-800 variant, United Airlines has 141 of them in their fleet.
Moreover, of that 141, all but 14 are in active service, with an average fleet age of 23.0 years.
As well as the 737-800, the airline has the following other aircraft in their mainline fleet:
- 81 Airbus A319s.
- 80 Airbus A320s.
- 15 Airbus A321s.
- 40 Boeing 737-700s.
- 12 Boeing 737-900s.
- 136 Boeing 737-900ERs.
- 103 Boeing 737 MAX 8s.
- 82 Boeing 737 MAX 9s.
- 61 Boeing 757s.
- 53 Boeing 767s.
- 96 Boeing 777s.
- 71 Boeing 787s.
United Airlines flight UA1451, which suffered the blown tire, departed Denver at 0948 local time on September 7 and tracked towards Orlando.
As per The Aviation Herald, it is understood this incident took place not long after departure.
Despite this, it is understood the crew continued on to their destination as planned.
United Airlines flight UA1451 from Denver landed safely into Orlando without further incident at 1611 local time.
It is understood that the aircraft became disabled after landing and had to be towed to the apron.
In a statement, the FAA revealed the following:
“AIRCRAFT BLEW A TIRE ON TAKEOFF, CONTINUED TO DESTINATION AND POST FLIGHT INSPECTION REVEALED DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR AND FUSELAGE, DENVER, CO.”
Aircraft Still Grounded Over Four Days On…
Following the blown tire onboard United Airlines flight UA1451 Denver-Orlando, N27239 has remained grounded in Florida.
With there being damage to the right main gear and fuselage, extensive repairs will be needed on the aircraft.
At this stage, it is unclear when the aircraft will be back in commercial service.
