Vistara Flight Suffers Hydraulic Failure During Arrival into Mumbai

On August 14, Vistara flight UK995 from Delhi suffered a hydraulic failure during it’s arrival into Mumbai.

Information is limited surrounding this incident, but below is what we know on this so far.

On August 14, Vistara flight UK995 from Delhi suffered a hydraulic failure during it's arrival into Mumbai.

Vistara flight UK995, which suffered the hydraulic failure, is a routine scheduled flight between Delhi & Mumbai.

Furthermore, the aircraft involved in the incident is understood to be VT-TQK.

As per data from Planespotters.net, VT-TQK is a 2.4 year old Airbus A320neo that was delivered to the airline in April 2022.

Of the A320neo variant, Vistara has 53 of them in their fleet.

Moreover, of that 53, all of them are in active service, with an average fleet age of 3.6 years.

As well as the A320neo, the airline has the following other aircraft in their fleet:

  • 10 Airbus A321neos.
  • 7 Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

Vistara flight UK995 departed Delhi at 0959 local time on August 14 and tracked south towards Mumbai.

As per The Aviation Herald, it is understood the aircraft suffered the hydraulic failure during the descent into their destination.

From there, the aircraft was given priority landing into the airport, where they landed safely without further incident at 1229 local time.

VT-TQK Back in Service By The Evening The Same Day…

Data from RadarBox highlights that VT-TQK, the Vistara Airbus A320neo involved in the hydraulic failure in Mumbai, returned to commercial service later that day.

The aircraft operated the following other flights safely on August 14:

  • UK651 – Mumbai to Chandigarh.
  • UK652 – Chandigarh to Mumbai.

No further issues have been reported with the aircraft following that incident.
