A Wizz Air Airbus A321neo arriving from Billund, Denmark reported a hydraulic problem during its approach to Bucharest, Romania on 20 October 2024.
Wizz Air flight W43212, operated by an Airbus A321neo, was conducting an arrival from Billund Airport (BLL). The flight was conducting an approach for a landing on runway 08L Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP).

During the descent, flight crew advised the approach controller that they were experiencing a left-hand side hydraulic problem. A formal emergency was then declared.
According to the online source Aviation Herald, flight crew advised that they would require the full runway length for the landing. In anticipation of the flight’s arrival, the airport ensured that runway 08L was kept sterile for the emergency landing.
The aircraft landed without further incident just under 20 minutes after the advice of the technical problem was given. The flight was able to vacate the active runway and taxied to the apron hardstanding area following the landing.

Flight data shows that the flight W43212 had made an on-time departure out of Billund Airport at 09 23 local time on 20 October.
The flight had then proceeded normally, climbing to flight level FL330 (33,000 feet) for the south-easterly service to Bucharest.
Top of descent and initial arrival procedures were conducted normally, and the emergency was declared to approach control. The aircraft squawked transponder code 7700 in the latter stages of its approach to runway 08L.
The aircraft conducting the W43212 service from Billund was an Airbus A321neo, registered HA-LVD. This is a 5.3-year-old narrowbody aircraft belonging to the carrier Wizz Air. It has been an operational service with the airline since its initial delivery from the factory in August 2019.
